Each time I was sure I’d made my choices, a newer, cuter, more perfect-for-me option appeared at the bottom of the page, pulling me down deeper like quicksand, each one cheaper than the last. As I always do when I buy clothes online, I studied the sizing guide carefully, keeping in mind that Chinese sizes run small. Nearly all the clothes on the Shein website bear hundreds of positive reviews. Were they honest reviews from verified buyers? That’s tough to say, although many Shein reviews included mirror selfies, giving them a feeling of verity.
